After 3 Weeks, I thought Id put up the progress so far on the build.
40 Macs are going in the two rooms; 35 in the large one (Old Library), 5 in the Foyer.
The second floor will be my office place where all the toys and gadgets go, a brushed steel spiral staircase will lead upto the second floor, with steel wires and hand rail going along the top.
Underneath is a 'kitchen/wet area' for photography and art stuff, red cupboards and block wood work surface, and a few network points along with a wireless access point.
In the main foyer, block wood worktop along the RHS of the picture at what is best described at Starbucks style height, and shelving to match along that wall. That should give enough space for layouts, design shiv..all that kinda stuff!
On the chimney wall a 72" Samsung touch monitor will go in as the main presentation board, with network access to make it a TV/Digital singage when not in use. Surround sound system to compliment it.
In the Main room a 3D projector system from Panasonic is projecting onto the large blank wall (the one with a door to the right and a wooden aircon tube running down the centre) (the aircon thing is being removed!)
A large layout table and teacher desk is going under the screen, with a lecture room style set of whiteboards (basically sliding board, a white board, black board, and a magnetic one).
Along the walls will be 4 x 42" Samsung digital signage montiors allowing video/web work to be shown off, linking with the 72" in the Foyer.
Along the walls at the same Starbucks stylesd height will be block wood benching to hold 30 20" Imacs, opposite ends to the teachers desk will be a similar layout desk to house the other 5 iMacs.
In the centre, a creative space, with 15-20 moveable plan chest style 'blocks' which can tuck unter the worktops when needed.
Thats about the outline of it! More piccies to follow...
(i dont think ive got the images in the correct order!!)
